Shaped is a periotical newspaper that looks at themes of shapes and their connections to art and life through essays, songs, poems and other forms of expression. This first issue, The Circle, explores cycles of life and death, the inevitability of pattern, and the geometry of meaning. I used the circle as a way to think about repetition, faith, systems, life, harmony, etc. This project involved a lot of image and text gathering that really developed the idea for me as the designer as a curator, building a complex language through design, image, and the written word.
